Gauntlet the 2nd....
Heh - after an excessive hiatus - but.....



Missing it's copper embellishment, but I'll do that when I do the metal work for the bodice.

Hand guards are 3/4 done too... *grin*

Seriously though - NOT hard, time consuming, but not hard!

Cut really thin strips of leather, start attaching them at a top corner, fill in until you've got one full 'diagonal' of strips attached by one end. Trim them up along the other edgers and glue them the rest of the way down. A woof!

Weave your first weft strip through the existing diagonal, pull it tight, 'tamp' it into place, glue the ends down, do it again! (and again, and again)

Really small extremely pointed tweezers are a big help? *grin*
